    Rollin Bohning founds a humble archery company in Lake City, MI. With a lack of reliable types of cement for archery, Mr. Bohning took it upon himself to develop a new standard for archery cements.

  • Mr. Bohning put his chemical training to work by developing Fletch-Tite for the revolutionary Easton aluminum shaft.

  • Dri-Tite® is Created

     

    Seeing a need for an improved way of waterproofing fletching and flies, Bohning created Dri-Tite.

  • Mr. Bohning and his son-in-law, Colby Johnson, brought Fletch-Lac to the marketplace.

  • Bohning Creates First Vane

     

    The firm made the decision to produce their own vane and set a new standard for the archery community.

  • Seeing a need for a good quality Christmas Tree colorant they developed a product that would prove useful around the country.

    A new management team was put in place. Larry Griffith, John Kleman, and Gordon Shackleton. Colby Johnson spends a greater amount of time doing research and development.

  • The Tools and Die Division is starting to add sales to The Bohning Company and would grow to be an important part of the business. Archery still remains the top focus for the company.
