Journeyman Mold Maker

The Bohning Company, located northeast of Lake City, MI, is looking for a long-term employee to fill the position of Journeyman Mold Maker.  Position is responsible for building, maintaining and repairing plastic injection molds.

Applicants must be proficient in mold making, mold repair, holding tight tolerances (+/- .0005”), benching, spotting and polishing molds, surface grinders, manual milling, CNC milling, manual lathes, shop safety and cleanliness, etc.

Preference will be given to applicants also demonstrating proficiency in Sinker EDM operation, Sinker EDM electrode making, Swiss lathe operation and programming, 3D modeling software (Autodesk preferred), extrusion die making and maintenance, stamping die sharpening and maintenance, welding (TIG), Mastercam software, Esprit CAM software, AutoCAD software.

Applicants must be dependable, show up to work on time, have good communication skills, both written and oral, get along well with others, be able to work well as a team and alone.  Must also be able to pass a drug test.

Hours are currently 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday.  Work environment is bright, clean and temperature controlled.
