Fletching Jigs
"Instructions are very lacking. Would be nice to know how to use the alignment marks, set offset, etc. Since other reviews have noted the same inadequate instructions and Bohning has not responded by posting better directions / video I will be returning and buying a brand which supports their product better."

"Very poor instructions. Very telling that poor instruction comments have been posted for years and Bohning has not posted better directions / video. Would like to have known what the alignment marks were for, how to set for various degrees offset, helical , etc. but will return it and buy a brand with better directions / responsiveness."

"Looks like eventually it would work well but I'll probably return it and buy a different brand with better instructions / explanations of the options. Agreed that the instructions are one step worse than worthless. Nice responsiveness that poor instruction comments have been posted for years and no better directions / video posted by Bohning. Would be nice to know what all the alignment marks are for, how to set for degrees offset, etc. "

"I bought this Jig when on a hunting trip to Missouri for Whitetails. My arrows fletching was damaged in shipping to Missouri, so I bought 4" killer vanes, fletch tite glue and this jig. I found the jig easy to use and set up for my carbon shafts. I have fletched thousands of shafts over the last 40 years and use Bitzenburger jig's at home. With my experience it was easy to use, but I do see a MAJOR COMPLAINT from new, inexperienced archers to fletching shafts. I planed to give this to my father to use when I left Missouri, but he ad a hard time understanding how to set it up for his different fletching requirements on his recurve (cock fletch out) and compound (cock fletch down) shafts. I AGREE % with the other comments, you need better instructions or a video to show set up and changes that can be accomplished to fletch for different requirements! Thanks Bohning, Good product, good price, Needs a video with instructions!"

"Can you use this jig for blazer vanes as well as the longer ones and can you buy replacrment clamps with a right helix and use it on the straight jig?"

"For starters I found that this product seems fairly well made and fairly simple to use once you sit down and figure it out. As others have stated, the arrow is loose due to it not having a lockable or nockable point within the nock adapter. This I found to be only a minor problem. With some patience I found it very easy to fletch an arrow with little to no arrow movement. As far as directions, I found it very lacking. I am relatively new, well its been a while atleast, at fletching arrows. To solve this, I sat down with an old arrow and the vanes I intended to use, and just got use to how this jig works and finding its little quirks. Its not a perfect jig but then again nothing is perfect. Overall, I found this to be a good product if your willing to take your time and figure it out first before you use glue. And in case you were wondering the arrow/vane combo, I was using Easton Powerflights, Bohning 4" Neon Yellow wraps and 2.1 Yellow and White Fusion Vanes; with excellent results once I switched from Bohnings fletch tite to crazy glue, with excellent results. Thank you for another good product Bohning, other than your fletch tite glue..."

"The poorly written and unthorough instructions have left me
puzzled and disheartened."

"Works very well, but I have to agree that set up is somewhat difficult. I see the marks on the arrow holder to change the angle of the fletching but there were no instructions included on what they mean or how to use them. I eventually just set an arrow in it and a vane with no glue to line it up where I wanted it to be. Could you please post an instruction guid on your site here? As I stated in the begining though, a very good product once set up."

"the instructions are lacking. I think for beginners the instructions should show more detail about how to set up this jig BEFORE proceeding with fletching. Nowhere in the instructions did it mention that there are 2 "adjusting nuts" that you tighten up to keep the magnet in proper postion (nor did they illustrate how to get the 2 degree offset vs straight fletching), I had no idea how to properly tighten them and I couldn't see marks to know if the clamp was straight (I bought a straight jig, so I thought it would fletch straight) I admit, this is incredibly easy to use, BUT hard to line up vanes and keep shafts from moving around. A picture showing a view into the jig of how the knock should be postioned before mounting the indexing vane would help. and maybe even explain that since the shaft is sitting loose in the jig and therefore will shift if youre not careful when inserting the clamps, tell people to carefully put the clamp in place since I used a "super glue", it bonded really fast and I had no time to re-position the clamp/vane once I notice the shaft had moved. It is frustrating that a manufacturer expects everyone that buys their product to understand how they work. Have a "set-up" guide for dummies, I would appreciated it. Fletching should be fun, not stressful. I think your website should have a how-to-video to address these issues, I am frustrated, but I bought lots of vanes and have lots of glue, but my patience is wearing thin."

"Bougth this product works great for arrows but not for crossbow bolts. Didnt know if there is a nock locator adaptor?"
